James Garner is Remembered, Cheryl Cole’s Name Change and More

Actor James Garner passed away at the age of 86, leading to an outpouring of condolences and tributes from Hollywood. The actor rose to fame in the 1950s TV show Maverick and more recently played an older Ryan Gosling in popular film The Notebook. He was awarded with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Screen Actors’ Guild in 2005.

Colin Firth, Jacki Weaver and Hamish Linklater attended the premiere of Woody Allen’s new film Magic in the Moonlight. The three costars spoke about working with the celebrated filmmaker. “It was magic,” said Weaver, while Firth commented, “He did direct in great detail, and was very engaged and very verbal. We didn’t chat outside his directing, but he was very clear and very insistent when he was pursuing something.” Linklater revealed that he cried with happiness when he found out that he had been cast.

Visitors to popular London attraction Madame Tussauds can now swoon over Ryan Gosling, who has become the most recent Hollywood celebrity to have a wax figure of himself unveiled.

Following her recent wedding, former UK X Factor star Cheryl Cole is now to be known as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, and wore a couture gown to the launch of her new perfume, Stormflower.

The cast members of the Expendables films showed up for excited fans at San Diego’s annual Comic-Con, and popular Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal was a hit at the event. “I’ve never been to a San Diego Comic-Con before and my first experience is that of pouring beer, drinking it and sharing it with fans, so it’s pretty amazing so far,” he explained.
