Stars Shine from Paris Fashion Week to the Emmys

Fashion One was on the scene as celebrities descended on Paris Fashion Week. Jennifer Lopez dazzled at the Versace show in an outfit that was a fusion of pantsuit and dress, rendered in immaculate white; she later posed with the designer Donatella Versace. Meanwhile, actress Uma Thurman, most recently seen in Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac: Vol. I, bought her 15-year old daughter Maya to the Miu Miu catwalk. Also spotted at the show where Quantum of Solace’s Gemma Arterton, Slumdog Millionaire beauty Freida Pinto, reality TV star Kim Kardashian and U.K. television personality Alexa Chung. Elsewhere, perennial glitterati favorite Chanel was thronged with celebrities including models Nina Dobrev and Poppy Delevingne, elder sister of supermodel Cara. Finally, Harry Potter star Emma Watson, The Hunger Games’ sensational Jennifer Lawrence, and Hollywood power couple Sean Penn and Charlize Theron were spotted at the Christopher Dior Haute Couture runway.

In London, Pharrell Williams and Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page were honored with awards at the O2 Silver Clef Awards. Founded in 1976 by British musicians and managers, the awards have become an important date on the social and business calendar for the U.K. music industry. It was a busy time for Williams, who had just performed two nights at the Wireless Music Festival in London and Birmingham. Williams took some time to speak to Fashion One, offering praise for Kanye West’s original and dynamic performance.

Over in America, global music sensation Justin Bieber returned to Los Angeles from Canada to hang out with his fans and pose for photographs. Meanwhile, in New York actress Halle Berry shone in a metallic dress posing for the paparazzi before her appearance on the David Letterman show. Elsewhere in New York, fashion designer Nicole Richie made the morning show rounds to promote her new reality TV show Candidly Nicole. At the Emmy Awards, gritty HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones dominated with a whopping 19 nominations, followed closely by Fargo and American Horror Story: Coven.
