Gwyneth Paltrow’s New Fashion Line and Lindsay Lohan Drama

In the Fashion Frontline series Tiffany Schultz gives the lowdown on the latest in the fashion and showbiz world. Don’t miss this episode, which comes packed with insider information on London Fashion Week, Gwyneth Paltrow’s new fashion line, Lindsay Lohan and much more.

London Fashion Week organizer The British Fashion Council is looking firmly to the future, sponsoring efforts to merge fashion with digital technologies. House of Holland and Burberry are just two of the labels to have received support for enterprises allowing buyers to purchase the catwalk’s clothes and accessories online.

Fashion and technology can be an excellent mix when done right. But the new Apple iWatch—a “smart watch” combining the features of watch and smart phone—has been criticized for lacking originality and sex appeal.

It was a bad week for Lindsay Lohan and brother Michael Lohan Jr., as the pair faced allegations of intellectual property theft from ex-business associate Fima Potik. In difficult talks, too, were Mulberry shareholders who met to discuss the brand’s future, with sales declining and still no replacement for creative director Emma Hill or CEO Bruno Guillon.

There is cause for fans of Gwyneth Paltrow to celebrate, as the star has collaborated with designer Diane von Fürstenberg to launch a brand new and exclusive clothing line. Taking inspiration from some of Paltrow’s most memorable outfits, the collection of ready-to-wear designs and bespoke accessories will be sold through her website, goop.com.

Fans paid tribute to Amy Winehouse as a life-sized bronze statue was unveiled in Camden Town, North London. Sculptor Scott Eaton hoped that the statue would convey the singer’s “attitude and strength, but also give subtle hints of insecurity.”
