LONDON – The former Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham is opening up her first standalone store and where else would she do it but in London's famous Dover Street, amidst Rei Kawakubo's fashion emporium, John Rocha, art galleries and the Dover Street Market?

Until now Beckham has been selling her creations via an e-boutique and various luxury stores around the world, but with her 6,040-square-foot, three floor flagship store in Dover Street the 40 year-old businesswoman seriously steps up her fashion designer game.

Next to Beckham's main collections, the boutique also features accessories and denim, as well as sister range Victoria Victoria Beckham.

And even if you are not that much into fashion, there is a lot to gaze at, as the store was designed by architect Farshid Moussavi and comes with a feel of contemporary art gallery. But despite being quite spacious, the green glass and the walnut wood furniture add a calm and warm atmosphere to the location.

According to Beckham, the diagonal-grid concrete ceiling "took seven builders, seven days a week for nine weeks" to create. However, the result is definitely worth being stared at. Victoria Beckham's new flagship store is quite a masterpiece of modern minimalist design.

Today the store will open its doors to the public for the first time.
