Rihanna Stars In Her Own Documentary

Film 45, a new non-scripted production company headed by Peter Berg, is embarking on it’s first major theatrical feature length film: a documentary on superstar singer Rihanna. The film is said to be less of a musical documentary, but more of a character study ala 1967 Bob Dylan rock doc Don’t Look Back.

Berg is saying the film is an “unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life and how she’s ascended to become a global icon.” Berg gave Rihanna her first acting bit with a role in his film Battleship, where he got the idea for the documentary. Berg said to Deadline he liked the idea of “a young artist at the top of her professional field” as subject material.

Although there couldn’t be too many surprises in a documentary about a story we all already know about the 27-year-old beauty, it’s sure to give an indepth look at a side we haven’t seen yet.

No word on the release date or if the film is already in production, but as the news rolls out, Fashion One will be sure to report.
